Allan Katz, CFP™, ChFC, CLU is President and owner of Richmond Financial Associates, Inc., a full service financial planning firm that specializes in working with clients in the areas of wealth/asset accumulation and preservation, estate planning, retirement income needs, retirement planning, small business planning and education planning.  Allan spends most of his time guiding clients through the complex financial world.  He focuses on empowering both individuals and business owners to achieve their financial goals regardless how simple or complex through ongoing client education and communication in addition to a personalized approach to long term client relationships.

Allan was born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island and after receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, Allan returned to Staten Island where he and his wife Elizabeth and their families live. After more than a decade working as a financial consultant for various firms including Citicorp Investment Services and The United Nations Federal Credit Union, and earning his Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant designations, Allan found himself at a crossroads.  His personalized approach to long term client relationships and his commitment to making a difference in the future of others led him to conclude that the only way to provide the highest level of service, research and complete financial planning was to establish his own independent firm.   Allan opened Richmond Financial Associates, Inc. in order to have the flexibility to determine the direction, effectiveness and the specific solutions that he brings to all his clients current and future needs.

Being a life long Staten Islander, Allan feels that this is his community and his home.  He is devoted to improving the future of his neighbors and clients.  A member of the New York Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and the Network Masters Chapter of BNI, where he currently holds the position of Secretary/Treasurer, Allan's experience and education enable him to guide clients through the complex financial world and empower them to achieve their financial goals regardless how simple or complex.
